Koktebel Jazz Festival

Annual International Koktebel Jazz Festival - The 4th Koktebel Jazz Festival went off with roaring success on September 21—23, 2007 in Koktebel, Crimea, Ukraine. The Jazz Festival is usally held in September during the best season to see Koktebel and Feodosia.

The festival was started in 2003 by Dmitry Kiselev, who was inspired by the life and works of the writer Max Voloshin, a former resident of the town.The venue is recently restored Voloshin’s Plaza, an open air plaza located directly in front of the writers historical residence.

The Koktebel (“land of blue hills” in Turkish) Jazz Festival strings together internationally renowned recording artists as well as local legends and up-and-coming stars for a massive free show in the open air.

Artists participating in the Koktebel Jazz Festival come from such diverse countries as Israel, Japan, U.S.A., Germany, Russia and of course from the host nation Ukraine.

This years International Koktebel Jazz Festival will take place from 19 September to the 21 September 2008.
